She is 7 years old and lives with her father and siblings in very modest conditions. Sadly, her mother has passed away.<br><br>When we first saw Tida, we noticed she wasn\u2019t even wearing shoes. She also told us about her 9-year-old brother. We wondered why we had never seen him at school. Tida explained that her family couldn\u2019t afford school supplies. She was able to attend school only because someone had given her a second-hand school uniform \u2013 but the uniform was too small for her brother, so he couldn\u2019t go to school.<br><br>During a visit to the family, we confirmed her story: there was no money for school uniforms, books, or the long journey to school.
