Common questions to donations
Why is my donation directed to MT:28 or SAM Global instead of directly to SEREY?
MT:28 and SAM Global are our partners in Germany and Switzerland. MT:28 is a certified, Christian non-profit that employs Julius and Katharina and sent them to Cambodia. SAM Global is a certified Christian non-profit that supports the SEREY project. Both partners assist in raising and managing donations in these countries and transferring them to SEREY. Thanks to them, all donations to SEREY are tax-deductible in Germany and Switzerland.
Do my donations go entirely to SEREY, or are they used for other purposes as well?
Donations made in Germany with “Serey,” “Doehler,” “Serey/Doehler,” or “AB 370,” and in Switzerland with “ProSerey” or “Serey,” will go only to the SEREY project.
In Germany and Switzerland, fees are charged to cover project oversight and administrative support. On average, these administrative fees amount to about 11%.
We appreciate your understanding, as administration and networking in the home countries are essential and cannot be managed by volunteers alone. Our partners provide crucial support to the SEREY project.
Do I get a donation receipt when I donate to SEREY?
Every donation to SEREY through our partners MT:28 and SAM Global is tax-deductible. To receive a donation receipt, please be sure to include your postal address with your transfer. Otherwise, no donation receipt can be sent to you.
Is it possible to donate directly to SEREY?
Donations made directly to SEREY, without going through our partners SAM Global or MT:28, are not tax-deductible. While we are a registered NGO in Cambodia, we are not registered as such in Germany or Switzerland.
