Our team had the opportunity during this time to meet with the key leaders of the villages and schools. These meetings were important to bring the village leaders closer together, so they could support one another more effectively, and to share our vision with them once again.
NEXT STEP: MOVING FORWARD, STEP BY STEP
Our team has already built strong relationships and is getting to know more families and their unique situations every day. The work is beginning to bear fruit, and we now have the first larger projects lined up on our community “to-do” list.
FULLY ENGAGED IN THE FIELD
We are now fully active in the communities. Through our work, we are gaining an ever-deeper understanding of the challenges and needs that each community faces.
THE JOURNEY BEGINS
In the first weeks, our sessions focused on helping the communities understand both our organization and their own responsibility. To put it visually: we’re not here to hand them the “fish on a plate,” but to teach them “how to fish.”
