FULLY ENGAGED IN THE FIELD
We are now fully active in the communities. Through our work, we are getting to know their challenges and needs in greater detail. We meet adults who share moments of joy and laughter with us, and others who struggle to hold back tears as they tell their stories. We see children glowing with the innocence of childhood, and others whose difficult circumstances are already visible at a young age. We are deeply grateful for these communities and for the openness they show our team.
THE JOURNEY BEGINS
So waren unsere Teachings in den ersten Wochen davon geprägt, dass sie uns als Organisation und ihre Eigenverantwortlichkeit verstehen. Um es bildlich auszudrücken: wir kommen nicht, um ihnen den „Fisch auf dem Teller zu servieren”, sondern um ihnen das „Fischen beizubringen”.
Empowering Communities – Laying the Foundations
We are now building the foundation for self-help in the villages, so that together with the communities, we can create the change they want to see — and the change that is needed to prevent human trafficking and exploitation.
